How much does it cost?

The fee is €125 for the FAR RPL Assessment. If you would also like to recertify as a CFR Instructor you can do so for an additional €30. The advantage of availing of dual certification is that your expiry dates on both certificates will be brought into alignment meaning that you can recertify both at the same time in two years. Instructors will have to provide evidence of delivery a minimum of 4 CFR courses within the previous 2 year period, these courses can be stand-alone CFR or CFR as part of an Occupational First Aid Course.

External Faculty Membership

Upon successful completion of the FAR Instructor RPL process, instructors will be given the opportunity to join our external faculty. As a member of our external faculty, you will receive ongoing support and notifications on relevant updates, can avail of our FAR certification service and will be subject to monitoring visits.

Once you have completed your RPL with us the annual membership fee will be waived for the first 12 months. The annual faculty membership fee thereafter will be €100. This fee will include the cost of monitoring, audit and quality control. This means that over a 2-year period external faculty members will pay a total of €255 (includes dual re-certification and monitoring). There are a number of requirements for acceptance onto our external faculty which will be explained during the RPL process. Those FAR Instructors whom Order of Malta Ireland accepts onto its external faculty can avail of our FAR Certification service at a fixed price of €20 per certificate issued.
